Sharon & Ricky’s Emotional Wandsworth Town Hall Wedding
Sharon and Ricky’s wedding at Wandsworth Town Hall was proof that you don’t need a huge guest list to create a day full of atmosphere, emotion and great memories. With around 40 of their closest family and friends joining them, the ceremony in The Alexander Room felt intimate and personal from the very start.
The morning began at Brewers Inn, just across the road from the town hall, where everyone gathered before making the short walk over for the ceremony. There had been plenty of talk beforehand about who would be the first to cry, with Sharon and Ricky even placing bets on it. In the end, Sharon lost the challenge as emotions took over during a ceremony that had more than a few guests reaching for tissues as well.
A Relaxed Celebration in Wandsworth
After the ceremony, everyone gathered on the steps outside for a brilliant confetti moment before we worked through the family photographs. One of the advantages of being a documentary wedding photographer at Wandsworth Town Hall is having access to some beautiful features inside the building, and the magnificent marble staircase provided the perfect backdrop for a few quick portraits before everyone headed off to the reception.
A short taxi ride later, we arrived at The County Arms where the celebrations continued. Before heading inside, we spotted a quiet grassy walkway nearby with some lovely evening sunlight, making it the ideal spot for a few relaxed photos together. As a documentary wedding photographer at The County Arms, these little moments are often my favourites. No posing for ages, just natural interactions and beautiful photos for people who won’t like to pose. It was the perfect way to finish a relaxed and emotional day as a Natural wedding photographer capturing genuine moments as they happened.
