about My Associate Photographers
Sometimes I’m already booked on a date, but that doesn’t always mean I can’t help. I work with a small number of associate photographers — people I trust completely and have worked alongside for years. They photograph weddings in the same documentary, relaxed way I do, focusing on real moments and letting the day unfold naturally.
If you book an associate wedding, I’m still involved throughout. I remain your main point of contact, help shape the approach in advance, and personally review the work before it’s delivered, so everything feels consistent and in line with my style.
This option isn’t right for everyone, and that’s absolutely fine. Some couples want me there in person, and others are happy knowing the photography is being handled with the same care and oversight. If you’d like to talk it through, I’m always happy to have an honest conversation about whether it feels like a good fit.

FAQs
What Deposit Do You Take?
£100 on all weddings and the balance is payable a month in advance.
Do You Work Outside Of London.
I do, especially in Essex, Kent and Hertfordshire (I used to live in Berkhamsted).
Do You Design And Sell Albums?
Yes. You'll get all your photos in a private gallery and from there you can order prints and a selection of beautiful wedding albums. I will guide you through the process. Albums start at £360. You can see more details here.
How Many Photos Will We Get?
As a rough guide I usually deliver around 50-100 photos per hour of coverage. So, for a 2 hour micro wedding you can expect between 100-200 photos.
I know some people feel they are getting better value for money if they get more photos in their gallery, but this is the wrong way to look at it. The issue isn't how many photos you get but rather how good the photos are. It's easy to take 1000s of photos but you're paying a your photographer to take great shots by being discerning and looking for special moments.
Ask yourself if you really want to go through 1000s of photos of your wedding trying to decide if this one is slightly better than that one. That's what you're paying me for. On average it takes about the same amount of time to edit and sort the photos as it does to shoot and most of that time is deciding which ones are the best for you to treasure. So, don't worry about how many photos, think about the quality of the images you get.
Do You Do Engagement Shoots?
Yes. A relaxed shoot anytime before your wedding helps you get comfortable in front of the camera and make some great memories. Typically around 2 hours in central London at £450.
Are You Happy To Photograph Posed Family Groups?
Yes, of course! My "thing" is natural documentary style photography but I am more than happy to do family groups. Weddings are a rare chance for the whole family to join together so I actually think it's important to do a few family group shots. But don't worry, I'll make sure the process is quick, easy and fun so you can get back to enjoying your day. The key is to be prepared. I will have planned in advance where we will do the shots so we won’t waste any time. I will ask you to make a list of the group shots you want and to keep that to around six - it does take time and if you make a long list you will probably regret it or at the very least something else will have to give, e.g. couple shots or you spending time enjoying drinks with your guests. Then I’ll ask for one of your wedding guests to help me by rounding people up, taking bags and coats etc. With good planning and a tight list we can get the shots you need without the drama.
How Will You Deliver Our Photos?
Your photos will be sent in the private digital gallery for you to download and share as you like. From there you can easily order beautiful photo books, wall art and prints.
Do You Back The Photos Up? How Safe Are They?
I use two cameras, so if one should fail I have a backup. Each camera has two memory card slots, so again, if one card should fail, there's a backup. Once I am back in the office, everything is backed up to an external hard drive and a remote drive on the cloud. Once your photos are edited and delivered they will stay in your own online gallery for 12 months.
Can You Also Video Our Wedding?
Yes. Filming at the same time as photographing weddings is called hybrid-shooting. It's a low cost option for couples who want a short highlight video of their day but don't have the budget for a videographer. You can see more details on the video page here. Is Candid Photography The Same As Documentary?
Yes and it's the way I'll shoot 90% of your wedding. I like natural shots with real, unforced smiles and reactions. Obviously I'll organise everyone for the formal family portraits and I do give my couples just a little bit of direction but always keeping it relaxed enough they can be themselves. Have You Won Any Awards?
I won the Hitched Wedding Awards 2024, 2025 and 2026, the Nine Dots Wedding Awards 2025 and have been very fortunate to have my work displayed in the Decode Gallery Arizona, The Art Square Gallery in New York, Cambridge University, The Glasgow Photography Gallery and the Trieste Photo Festival in Italy. My work has been officially selected for the International Photography Awards, published in the New York Times, printed in biographies, on tea towels and billboards!
Do You Work With A Second Photographer?
I can but usually I prefer to work alone. Sometimes I will bring an assistant along to help with lighting set-ups.
Do You Have Insurance?
Yes. My policy is with Hiscox Insurance Company Limited and includes an indemnity limit of £5 million.
Do you offer associate photography if you’re already booked?
Yes. If I’m unavailable, I sometimes offer the option of an associate photographer I trust and have worked closely with. I stay involved throughout and personally review the work before it’s delivered, so everything feels consistent with my approach.
