Retro Wedding Films – Nostalgic, Natural, No Fuss
Alongside your photography, I create short Retro Wedding Films—roughly 1–2 minutes long—full of real, joyful moments. Shot in my usual relaxed, documentary style, these lo-fi gems give your day that unmistakable vintage vibe. They’re a light-hearted, charming way to look back on it all without turning your wedding into a production.
A Playful Throwback with Heart
These films are for couples who love the idea of having something fun and different to share, but don’t fancy the full-on video treatment. I shoot them as I photograph—just natural clips woven together into a nostalgic little keepsake that feels as if it came straight from a family camcorder.
It's like a Content Creator from the 1960s
It’s a mini highlight film, styled to look and feel like Super 8 footage. There’ll be snippets of your ceremony, hugs and a bit of confetti flying through the air—plus the grainy texture and slightly wobbly zooms!
Retro Wedding Films are a great idea for people who don't want the expense and fuss of a videographer but still want some footage of their special day. Many of my London town hall micro-weddings are in small ceremony rooms and having a content creator or videographer there can be a problem. Another person in the room with camera or phone might get in the way and be a distraction. Because I do both photos and video at the same time, you can rest assured your wedding won't turn into a production and the focus will stay on you two - just as it should.

There’s no extra crew, no big cameras or tripods—just me, blending in as always and switching between photo and video with the same low-key approach. It’s an extra layer of storytelling that’s fun, a bit tongue-in-cheek, and genuinely lovely to watch.
How Much Does It Cost?
Retro Wedding Films are for couples who want a simple video without the expense and disruption of a videographer or content creator. For a typical 2 hour micro wedding I charge £250. For a longer wedding up to 4 hours it's typically £350 and for a full day it's £450 but do check to make sure. If you are only booking me to make the film and not photography my usual photography prices apply.

Let's be clear about what you can expect and what you won't get with your video:
- Retro Wedding Films are not full wedding films
- They don’t include full ceremony or speeches, just short clips
- They are filmed on my digital cameras and edited to look like Super 8 footage
- You probably won’t be mic’d up
If you're looking for something more substantial, with multiple angles, full ceremony and speeches etc., this isn't for you. You need a videographer or a content creator. You will get something fun, relaxed, and genuinely reflective of your day It's perfect for couples who want a little fun film to relive the atmosphere, without all the fuss. You can add a Retro Wedding Film when you book and to be honest any time after, if you fancy it.
