Ali and CJ’s Wedding at Morden Park House
Ali and CJ first met at a rowing club in Greenwich, where CJ was a coach and Ali was one of the rowers. For around three years, their relationship grew from early morning rowing sessions and friendship into something more, and once they got together, they were pretty much inseparable. On 28 August 2026, they finally made it official at Morden Park House, surrounded by 49 friends and family.
Morden Park House is one of my favourite places to photograph. The ceremony rooms are lovely and well lit, the staff are always welcoming, and there’s plenty of space outside for photographs afterwards. Ali and CJ wanted their day to feel natural, and that’s exactly how it felt. There was no first look and no complicated plans for photographs, just the two of them enjoying the day with the people they care about.
Keeping Everything in One Place at Morden Park House
One of the best decisions Ali and CJ made was to have their reception in the marquee at Morden Park House. The gazebo in the garden is a particularly beautiful spot for a ceremony, and being able to hire the marquee as well meant that everyone could stay in the same place throughout the day.
We had been a little worried about the weather, but thankfully the rain stopped just in time for the ceremony and held off for the rest of the day. From the ceremony to the drinks reception, speeches, meal and dancing, everything flowed naturally without anyone having to worry about travelling between different locations.
As a natural wedding photographer, this is exactly the sort of setup I love. There’s more time for people to relax, conversations happen naturally and I can concentrate on photographing what is actually happening rather than constantly organising the next move. Ali and CJ were a dream couple to photograph, and the whole day was relaxed, personal and full of the sort of moments that make beautiful photos for people who don’t like to pose.
Gary was the most perfect addition to our special day.
On our first call with him he helped us plan the entire day based on his experience. And then on the day he was flawless, he helped with everything with in such a calm, considered, kind and creative way. He helped coordinate and adjust plans as things changed - which really helped us be present and enjoy our day.
On top of that - we got photos by the time we landed for our honeymoon. They all were perfect and captured the day beautifully. As someone that doesnt feel comfortable in front of a camera he made me feel instantly comfortable.
Thanks Gary for helping to create an unforgettable day and some beautiful pictures that we can look back with.
