Anisha & Varun's Intimate Islington Town Hall Wedding in the Richmond Suite
Anisha and Varun chose a small, intimate wedding at the Richmond Suite in Islington Town Hall, surrounded by just eleven of their closest family members. They wanted something relaxed and meaningful, and the historic setting was the perfect fit. As a documentary wedding photographer at Islington Town Hall, it's always great to see couples make the space their own, whatever the size of the guest list.
Both Anisha and Varun looked fantastic in matching white wedding suits, and the whole family had made a real effort too. The atmosphere was warm, fun and incredibly relaxed from the moment they saw each other outside the town hall for their first look. It's exactly the kind of wedding that suits my approach as a Natural wedding photographer, creating beautiful photos for people who won't like to pose.
Making the most of a London town hall wedding
Although the Richmond Suite can accommodate much larger weddings, it worked brilliantly for such an intimate celebration. Even on a busy, sunny Saturday at Islington Town Hall, we found plenty of opportunities for photographs in the beautiful marble corridor, on the grand staircase and outside after the confetti and family photographs. As a documentary wedding photographer at the Richmond Suite, knowing the venue well means it's easy to find quiet spots away from the crowds.
Anisha and Varun were a pleasure to photograph. They were relaxed, trusted the process and were happy to go along with a few simple suggestions when needed, which meant everything felt natural rather than staged. The result is a collection of genuine moments that reflect who they are and everything they wanted from their wedding day. If you're looking for a documentary wedding photographer at Islington Town Hall who creates beautiful photos for people who won't like to pose, I hope these images give you a good idea of what that can look like.
