Danni and Liam’s wedding at Lillibrooke Manor & Barn
Danni and Liam met at secondary school and got together when they were 16, so their wedding at Lillibrooke Manor & Barn marked almost ten years together. They chose the venue because they loved its cosy, rustic feel, with the barn and fairy lights providing exactly the atmosphere they wanted.
They decided not to have a first look, choosing instead to see each other for the first time as Danni walked into the ceremony. It was a lovely ceremony, with plenty of happy tears, followed by reception drinks, the wedding breakfast and a full evening of dancing and fun.
Why Lillibrooke Manor & Barn works so well for a wedding
One of the best things you can do when planning a wedding is keep as much of the day as possible in one place. It means less time moving guests around and more time actually enjoying the day together.
Lillibrooke Manor & Barn is particularly good for this. Everything flows naturally from the preparations through to the ceremony, reception and evening celebrations, without the day feeling interrupted by travel. As a Documentary wedding photographer at Lillibrooke Manor & Barn, I find that makes a real difference to the photographs too. There is more time for the natural moments to happen, rather than constantly organising people and moving everyone from one location to another. For couples who want beautiful photos for people who don’t like to pose, that relaxed approach works particularly well.
Danni and Liam were a dream couple to photograph: easy-going, trusting and great fun throughout the day. One of my favourite moments was the chance to take them away for a few minutes after the ceremony, just the two of them, giving them the opportunity to breathe and take everything in. Those quieter moments are often some of the most meaningful photographs from a wedding.
