Darci and Tyler’s Islington Town Hall Wedding


Darci and Tyler were married on one of the hottest days of the year, right in the middle of the heat wave. Despite the soaring temperatures, they both looked completely at ease throughout the day. Darci’s elegant dress and Tyler’s three-piece suit could have made for a long afternoon, but they never let the heat get in the way of enjoying every moment.


Their ceremony took place in Room 99 at Islington Town Hall, one of my favourite spaces for a civil wedding. As a documentary wedding photographer at Islington Town Hall, it's a room I always enjoy working in. It has plenty of character and creates a lovely atmosphere without needing anything over the top.

A short walk and beautiful photos


It was a busy day at the town hall, so we didn't have long for portraits. The good thing about knowing Islington so well is that I always have a few locations in mind. Within just a few minutes we found some quiet side streets, interesting reflections and a handful of favourite spots that worked perfectly. It reminds me every time that you don't need hours away from your guests to create Beautiful photos for people who won't like to pose. As a Natural wedding photographer and documentary wedding photographer at Islington, making the most of the time available is all part of the job.


After confetti and family photographs outside the town hall, we took a short walk to Terra Rosa, where everyone gathered for the reception. Darci and Tyler had booked me for just three hours, but that was more than enough time to tell the story of their day with photographs and a retro wedding film. Every wedding is different, but it's always a privilege to be trusted to capture moments that will mean even more as the years go by.
