Emma & George’s Relaxed Family Home Wedding
It's easy to say that every wedding I photograph is perfect, but I genuinely believe it. Not because everything goes exactly to plan, but because every wedding is a reflection of the couple, their families and what matters most to them. Emma and George’s wedding was a perfect example of that. In fact, it was one of the most fun and heartfelt weddings I’ve ever photographed.
What makes it even more impressive is that they organised everything themselves, making the most of George’s parents’ family home and beautiful grounds. Every detail felt thoughtful without ever feeling overdone. From the brilliant band to personalised tambourines for every guest, there was a real sense that this day had been planned with everyone’s enjoyment in mind.
A wedding full of personality
There were plenty of emotional moments throughout the day, including more than a few tears during the ceremony, but what really stood out was how much fun everyone had. The highlight for me might just have been the most competitive and entertaining game of pass the parcel I've ever witnessed. If anyone ever asks for my wedding planning advice in future, I may well suggest tambourines and pass the parcel.
More importantly, Emma and George gave themselves permission to enjoy the day. A few spots of rain appeared, the dress picked up a bit of dirt, and none of it mattered. They trusted the people around them, relaxed and focused on celebrating with their family and friends. That kind of attitude always creates the best atmosphere and leads to beautiful photos for people who won’t like to pose. It was a wonderful day from start to finish and one they’ll have some fantastic memories of for many years to come.
