Issy & Conrad’s Hurlingham Club Wedding
Some weddings just feel effortless from the start, and Issy and Conrad’s day was one of them. From the moment I arrived, everything felt calm, happy, and full of warmth. They’re one of those couples who make everyone feel comfortable, which always makes for the most natural wedding photos — beautiful photos for people who don’t like to pose.
Their ceremony took place at The Catholic Church of Our Most Holy Redeemer and St Thomas More in Chelsea. It’s a stunning church with strong family ties for Issy — she grew up attending services there, and there’s even a bust of her late father in the crypt, surrounded by flowers on the day. Canon Pascal led a heartfelt service, and it was clear how much the place and the people meant to them both.
"Gary was the most amazing photographer for our wedding. He was so kind and made the day even more special! He brought such amazing energy and was always a reassuring presence. We could not recommend him more highly and hope to work with him again at some point in the future!"

A Wedding Boat trip to The Hurlingham Club
After the ceremony, everyone took a short walk to the pier before boarding a private boat to The Hurlingham Club. The 40-minute trip down the Thames was one of those moments you don’t plan but end up remembering — drinks in hand, guests chatting, and perfect October sunshine. As a documentary wedding photographer at The Hurlingham Club, days like this are ideal: genuine, unposed moments that tell the story exactly as it happened.
Once we arrived, there was time for a few relaxed group photos in the gardens before golden hour gave us some lovely light for portraits. Inside, the talking point was definitely the cake — a tower of Penguin Classics recreated in sugar, probably my favourite of the year. The evening rolled perfectly into speeches and dancing, with everyone fully in the moment. A classic day in every sense, and a reminder of why I love being a natural wedding photographer and documentary wedding photographer at Chelsea and The Hurlingham Club.
A Fun Retro Wedding Film
I also made one of my Retro Wedding Films. They are short, nostalgic videos shot alongside your photography, inspired by the golden age of VHS tapes and camcorders. Think soft-focus memories, tape hiss, and that warm fuzzy feeling of the 80s and 90s. No film crew, no drama—just a fun, heartfelt throwback that captures the joy of your day in a way that’s full of character.
Watch The Photo Film
I usually make my couples a slideshow of some of the day's highlights. I prefer to call it a Photo Film because, carefully set to music, I think they really tell the story of the day. They are a lovely way to relive the key moments.
