The Perfect Micro Wedding


Kavi and Nathan’s London micro wedding was a celebration of intimacy and style, perfectly suited to the vibrant city setting. The day began at their flat in Finsbury Park, where the pre-wedding preparations were filled with calm excitement and of course a glass or two of champagne. 


From there, the wedding party set off on a quintessential London adventure, taking the tube just one stop to Highbury and Islington. It was the perfect opportunity to capture some unique documentary wedding photography in the Underground, where the city’s energy added a dynamic backdrop.

Room 99 at Islington Town Hall


The short walk to Islington Town Hall felt special, leading us to Room 99—a space I always enjoy photographing. The ceremony itself was beautifully personal, with heartfelt moments, including a tearful glance from Nathan’s mum that perfectly encapsulated the emotions of the day. The staff at Islington Town Hall are true professionals, creating an atmosphere where every wedding feels unique and memorable.


Wedding Reception at The Canonbury Tavern


After the newlyweds were pronounced husband and wife, we paused for the classic group shot on the Town Hall steps. Then it was off to the Canonbury Tavern - just around the corner from my home, so I know it well - for their reception. Along the way, I captured candid shots of Kavi and Nathan strolling through the historical streets of Islington, soaking in the joy and charm of the day. We even had time for some portraits but as usual I worked quickly to keep the photography fun and as natural as possible. 


This Was A Wedding That Truly Embodied The Essence Of Documentary Wedding Photography—Genuine, And Full Of Life. From The Quiet Moments Of Preparation To The Lively Celebrations At The Canonbury Tavern, Every Part Of Kavi And Nathan’s Day Was A Joy To Document.
