Morden Park House and Cannizaro House: Steve and Charley’s Intimate London Wedding
Steve and Charley chose to keep their wedding day local, intimate and relaxed, with just 11 guests including themselves and one baby. Their ceremony at Morden Park House was followed by a short drive to Cannizaro House for a private reception, giving them two beautiful settings without losing the personal feel of the day.
We were blessed with wonderful weather, which made the most of the parkland around Morden Park House. The ceremony was particularly special, with Steve waiting at the front as Charley entered the room. There was plenty of time afterwards for photographs around the grounds before heading to Cannizaro House.
A relaxed reception at Cannizaro House
The private conservatory at Cannizaro House was a great choice for such a small wedding. It was the perfect size for their intimate dinner, while the French doors opened directly onto the sunken garden. Although the garden is available to other hotel visitors, hardly anyone else was using it, so it felt like a private part of the wedding.
There was time for a few photographs of Steve and Charley in the garden before the speeches, which were understandably a little emotional. With Charley’s dad sadly no longer with us, it was a particularly moving part of the day. I was there for around three hours, but with the ceremony, parkland photographs, confetti, group shots, garden portraits and speeches, it’s surprising how much can be covered in a short wedding.
