Ross and Jon’s Autumn Wedding at Bromley Old Town Hall
Ross and Jon’s wedding at Bromley Old Town Hall was one of those days that just worked perfectly from start to finish. Everything happened in one beautiful space, which made the whole day feel relaxed and connected. As a documentary wedding photographer at Bromley Old Town Hall, I arrived just as the final touches were happening — shirts ironed, buttonholes pinned, and a quiet buzz of excitement in the air.
The couple had thought carefully about the details, from their stationery and rings to the beautifully simple décor that suited the art deco setting perfectly. We managed to capture a few moments together before the ceremony — nothing too posed, just natural frames of them taking it all in. It’s always a pleasure to photograph couples who prefer beautiful photos for people who don’t like to pose; I hope you can feel the authenticity in the photos.
"We were so, so lucky to find Gary to photograph our wedding. He truly is the best! Such a lovely guy, so friendly and organised, and ridiculously talented. Communication was always fantastic, and we had a check-in the day before the wedding to go through everything. He managed to capture all of the beautiful moments of our day; the photos are truly unreal and magical. What's more, Gary had them over to us within 24 hours, with the result reducing us to tears! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Gary."

A relaxed day full of laughter and small moments
After a heartfelt ceremony, guests gathered for a confetti shower on the grand staircase — a rare treat indoors at this venue, but worth every petal. It made for one of those spontaneous, joy-filled moments that you can’t stage. From there, we moved straight into a few group photos and a handful of relaxed portraits before the boys joined everyone for the reception in the Old Courtroom.
Food was a highlight traditional pie and mash served from Ronnie’s Black Cab, followed by ice cream sandwiches with custom wrappers. It summed up the whole day: thoughtful, unfussy, and full of personality. Once the speeches wrapped up (they had four best people and one of their speeches was the best I have heard this year) and the first dance began and the dance floor didn’t empty again. Being a natural wedding photographer and documentary wedding photographer at Bromley, it’s days like this that remind me why I love what I do — capturing genuine emotion, real connection, and the moments in between.
Watch The Photo Film
I usually make my couples a slideshow of some of the day's highlights. I prefer to call it a Photo Film because, carefully set to music, I think they really tell the story of the day. They are a lovely way to relive the key moments.
