A Special Wedding at St Paul’s Cathedral and Paternoster Square
Photographing a wedding at St Paul’s Cathedral is always a special occasion, not just for the couple but for me as the photographer too. Manuela and Mat were blessed with beautiful weather and had wisely chosen the Leonardo Hotel just across the road to get ready.
I’m a big fan of keeping travel to a minimum on a wedding day. It makes everything simpler and gives you more time to enjoy what’s actually happening. After a few photographs of the preparations, I followed the bridal party over to the cathedral before heading around to the front steps to photograph Mat and his best man.

The ceremony itself was extraordinary, with the choir adding something really special to the occasion. Afterwards, we had time for a few more photographs inside before heading back out onto the front steps for one final photo opportunity.
From there, it was a short walk to the reception in Paternoster Square. Manuela and Mat had arranged for the Rock Choir to sing for their first dance, which made for one of those moments that everyone in the room will remember. As a documentary wedding photographer at St Paul’s Cathedral and a Natural wedding photographer, these are the moments I’m looking for: beautiful photos for people who won’t like to pose, without taking them away from their wedding for too long.
If you're thinking about getting married there let me know and I can share with you some of the specific rules and requirements St Paul's has recording photography.
Absolutely fabulous! All of the pictures are stunning and you were a joy to have around on the day.... Thank you for all your support, it was such a relief to just be told what to do and having full faith that it will all come out great in the end - there was way too much going on for our brains to catch up with the day!
