A Camden Town Hall Wedding Starting at The St Pancras Renaissance Hotel

Nancy and Alexander kept things beautifully simple for their wedding day, but still managed to pack in a bit of magic. It began at the Renaissance St. Pancras Hotel, where Nancy stayed the night before. That gave us access to the legendary red staircase — a real showstopper. They chose to see each other for the first time there, and it was one of those quiet, powerful moments. No fuss. Just the two of them in an incredible setting, taking it all in before the day properly got going.

Afterwards, we crossed over to Camden Town Hall for the ceremony in the Regents Room. Just seven guests, all close family and friends. Intimate, emotional, and exactly right for them. One of the best parts of being a documentary wedding photographer at Camden Town Hall is how much character the building has. The marble staircase is always a favourite spot for group photos, and with time to spare, we made the most of it.

"We’re so grateful to have had Gary as our wedding photographer. He brought such a calm, reassuring energy to the day from the moment he arrived. He was warm, professional, and just lovely to have around, capturing everything so naturally, without it ever feeling staged.

The photos are absolutely beautiful. He caught all the big, emotional moments and the little in-between ones we might have missed and looking through them brought the whole day back to life. He’s incredibly talented."

From Camden to the Savoy – A Wedding with Elegance

Following the ceremony, we headed across town to the Savoy for a champagne reception. It was the perfect way to finish the day: relaxed, elegant, and full of joy. No rigid timelines or endless formalities, just genuine moments and natural interactions — which is exactly what I aim to capture as a natural wedding photographer.

This wedding had everything I love: meaningful choices, beautiful architecture, and a couple who were completely focused on each other. As a documentary wedding photographer at Renaissance St. Pancras and Camden Town Hall, it’s always a privilege to be part of these smaller, thoughtful celebrations. Beautiful photos for people who won’t like to pose – that’s always the goal, and this day was full of them.
