Phoebe & Robert’s Garden Marquee Wedding
Some weddings feel personal from the moment you arrive, and Phoebe and Robert’s day was one of them. Their creativity was woven through every part of the celebration, from the flowers and cake decorations to the monogrammed napkins, handmade belts for the groomsmen, personalised mints and even the Land Rover that served as their wedding car.
The ceremony took place in the local church just down the road from the family home, before everyone made their way back for a reception in the garden. Hosting a wedding of this scale at home takes plenty of planning, and the amount of work that went into preparing the space was clear to see throughout the day.
A wedding built around family
One of my favourite things about this wedding was how much family involvement there was. The best celebrations often reflect the people at the centre of them, and Phoebe and Robert’s families played a big part in creating something that felt completely unique to them. Every detail had a purpose and helped make the day feel relaxed, welcoming and genuine.
The weather kept us on our toes with a few showers here and there, but it never got in the way. We had sunshine at exactly the right time for the group photos, and when the rain returned, everyone made a quick dash back to the house before settling in for a wonderful wedding breakfast. As a Natural wedding photographer, these are the moments I enjoy most – real interactions, genuine reactions and beautiful photos for people who won’t like to pose.
"Gary was fantastic. He took excellent photos throughout our wedding. He was great at light touch coordination to get the shots we wanted."
