beautiful candid wedding photography in the heart of london
This wedding was a special treat for me. I have been to St Martin the Fields many time but this was my first time photographing a wedding there. Sarah and Romeo were blessed with lovely weather and the church looked terrific. Of course, streets were thronging with tourists which only added to the excitement of the day.
Sarah family is from Pakistan and she chose to wear traditional dress which looked stunning (though she told me it was very heavy!). It was a beautiful to see a flash of Pakistani glamour against the backdrop of this famous Christian church.
After the service I spent about 15 minutes with the happy couple making lovely pictures. I never pose my couples. I find a good spot where the light is in our favour and just give them a little direction. I find it's best to let people just be themselves as much as possible to get those natural, spontaneous moments that always make for the best photos.
Then it was a short walk to the Punjab restaurant for the reception. I was there for only about 4 hours which was plenty of time for some beautiful photos without the fuss.
"Gary was such an amazing photographer to work with. He is so humble and kind plus made our day very memorable and special. All our pictures came out really beautiful and many thanks to Gary, we will treasure them forever. Gary made us feel comfortable and did a fantastic job at capturing both the formal and candid photos. We would highly recommend Gary for his professional, friendly and warm attitude and for the beautiful pictures we have received."
