Natural Wedding Photography at Camden Town Hall

Camden Town Hall is one of those venues that always feels special, and this wedding was no exception. In fact, it was a first for me—the ceremony took place right on the iconic white marble staircase. Usually, ceremonies are held in the registry rooms, but this stunning location is reserved for very intimate weddings, with just the couple and two witnesses. It’s an inspired choice, especially after the recent refurbishment that’s made the staircase even more striking.

A cheeky Pre Wedding Cocktail? Why not?!

The day started with M and C celebrating at The Standard hotel, just a short walk away. It’s a brilliant spot with fantastic food and a lively atmosphere, perfect for setting the tone of the day. From there, we made our way across to the Midland Hotel for pre-ceremony cocktails and a few photos. By the time we reached Camden Town Hall, winter’s early sunset meant the light had almost faded. These are the moments where having a flash really pays off.

One Advantage for a winter wedding

One of the lovely things about winter weddings is the quieter atmosphere. The town hall wasn’t bustling with back-to-back ceremonies, which meant we had the time to enjoy a relaxed, intimate celebration. M and C were all smiles as were their witnesses, and their love for each other shone through in every moment. After the ceremony, we captured a few more photos on the marble staircase before they dashed off to catch a train to Paris for a honeymoon.

Classic wedding vibes With the Perfect Contemporary Wedding Dress

The bride’s outfit was a perfect match for the day—timeless and elegant, with a bouquet of white roses that added a classic yet understated touch. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love being a documentary wedding photographer. Capturing the genuine connection and the joy of a couple on their happiest day is nothing short of a privilege. I know that sounds cheesy but I promise it's true. The energy of the day was infectious, and I couldn’t wait to get home and start editing, piecing together their story in images.
